Human Resource Society organized 6th National HR CONFERENCE, on September 12, 2017 on the topic “HR for Tomorrow: Trends & Transformation” at Soaltee Crown Plaza, Kathmandu. HR Conference is the leading professional development annual event. The day-long conference highlighted current HR trends, issues, challenges and opportunities in the field of human resources and labor relations, and featured exceptional speakers, presentations on cutting edge HR practices and outstanding networking opportunities.

Organized on a yearly basis, this conference focused on a scope of various HR functions and highlighted recent trends. Also, focused on how the organizations are melding HR and business operations to push the boundaries of what is possible HR is constantly evolving function, and the rise of technological breakthroughs in the workplace that has only accelerated the progression. This HR conference was also designed for HR professionals to connect with other HR experts. Leaders met each other to learn what additional trends are emerging  and how they are leading the transformation of what HR may truly look like, tomorrow.

HR Conference attracted more than 200 attendees, including HR professionals from different companies of Nepal. The session was inaugurated by Mr. Kumar Joshi, President, HR Society Nepal. Colvyn Harris, Founder of Harris-Mint, a strategic Marketing & Branding Consultancy kicked-off this 6th edition of HR Conference as the first keynote speaker followed by a research paper presentation by Rooster Logic in the topic Evolving Workplace: A Nepalese Perspective. Mr. Sandeep Bidani, Partner at Positive Momentum Limited and founding director of Cognitiv in India as the next keynote speaker focused in addressing the challenge of staying relevant. Mr. Karmath Dangol, VP of Engineering at Cloud Factory shared his experience on future of working cultures in Nepal. The event also included presentations by Main Sponsor GLOBALJob and Title Sponsor Nimble OfficeHRM and panel discussion on Evolving workplace in Nepal.

HR Professionals from various organizations in collaboration with National Banking Institute organized the 1st and 2nd edition of the conference in 2011 and 2012 respectively. After the registration of HRSN, the organizing torch has been handed over to HRSN and it has successfully organized the 3 editions of the National HR Conference. The last two conferences were on the theme, "Employee Care for Higher Productivity" in 2016, and "Managing People During Crisis" in 2015.
