Real Solutions Pvt ltd. in coordination with merojob successfully conducted placement day on 5th June, 2018 for graduated UN trainees of Cohort VI at Patan College of Professional Studies.
The placement Day provided graduating trainees with the unique opportunity to interview with multiple recruiters in one day that involved NGO’s, INGO’s and private organizations.
“Events as such is not only beneficial for the job seekers but also for organization like us who are job providers. This is an excellent platform and a win-win situation for all.” said Mr. Roshan Raj Rai, Finance and Human Resource Manager, Action for Nepal after conducting the interview session with the trainees.
This year in one to one session, 12 recruiters conducted interviews and trainee participated in an average of three to seven interviews. In past years, for the UN graduates trainee, placement in different organization were offered in different ways. “The initiation taken by Real Solutions is very appreciable. I like the interview session.” said Mr. Palmu Sherpa, one of the graduated trainee from UN Women of Cohort VI explaining how well organized the whole event was.
Mr. Paras Thakuri, from Volunteer Initiation Nepal said that it would have been much appreciated if candidate had been organized as per job specification of particular organization.
Acknowledging on behalf of UN organization Ms. Moon Gurung, Human Resource Analyst, UNDP said that, “This is the unorthodox style of looking into the candidates and I am really thankful to all the delegates for coming today and encouraging trainee for employment.” Furthermore she announced that, UN is soon going to take up another session of UN traineeship.
Finally Mr. Vikaas Nafde, Career Consultant at merojob delivered the vote of thanks to all the delegates, volunteers, trainees and the organizing team for successful completion of the event. Recruiters from Prabhav Nepal, Child Care Club, CWISH, Volunteer Initiation Nepal, Action for Nepal, Real Solutions and merojob interviewed the trainees. The placement day was followed by Graduation ceremony of UN traineeship Programme- Cohort VI organized by Real Solutions itself on 1st June 2018.
