On behalf of United Nations in Nepal, Real Solutions Pvt.
Ltd invited eligible university graduates belonging to socially excluded
groups, person with disabilities and LGBTIQ for the UN Traineeship Programme -
Cohort VIII with UN Agencies on September, 2019.
Out of 2000+ applicants, 64 trainees selected for Cohort
VIII participated in the induction ceremony which was organized on 14th
February, 2020. The objective of the induction was to give the selected trainee
an introduction to the work environment, practices, ethics, values and culture
of the UN system in Nepal as well as globally.
Initiated in April 2011, this Traineeship Programme is a
joint initiation between UN agencies to provide capacity building and
professional training to university graduates from socially excluded groups,
mainly focuses on developing their professional competencies and enhancing
their employability prospects
The United Nations has been carrying out this 11 months’
traineeship programme every year. This 11-months-long programme focuses on providing
the trainees with full time on the job training assignments with access to
mentoring and practical experiences in an international UN working environment.
