Roles and responsibilities of this job

To develop, maintain, and continuously improve Chynabazar's e-commerce website — ensuring reliable performance, seamless user experience, and robust backend operations. The role is responsible for the full technology stack, from frontend interfaces to backend systems, third-party integrations, and platform stability.

Reports to: Business Head

Key Responsibilities:

Website Development & Maintenance : Develop, update, and maintain the Chynabazar e-commerce website across both frontend and backend; ensure the site is always live, fast, and fully functional.
Frontend Development : Build and maintain responsive, visually consistent, and user-friendly web interfaces; ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility and alignment with brand design guidelines.
Backend Development & Architecture : Develop and manage server-side logic, databases, APIs, and application architecture; ensure scalability, security, and performance of all backend systems.
Third-Party Integrations : Own and manage all platform integrations including payment gateways, logistics/shipping APIs, inventory management systems, CRM tools, analytics platforms, and marketing pixels.
Bug Fixing & Issue Resolution : Monitor the website for errors, bugs, and performance issues; diagnose and resolve technical problems promptly to minimize downtime and disruption to operations.
Performance Optimization : Continuously audit and improve website speed, load times, Core Web Vitals, and overall platform performance across desktop and mobile.
Security & Compliance : Implement and maintain web security best practices including SSL, data encryption, secure payment handling, and protection against common vulnerabilities (XSS, SQLi, etc.).
SEO & Technical Optimization : Collaborate with the marketing team on technical SEO implementation including site structure, metadata, schema markup, page speed, and crawlability.
Database Management : Design, manage, and optimize databases; ensure data integrity, regular backups, and efficient querying for product catalogues, orders, and customer data.
DevOps & Deployment : Manage version control, staging environments, and deployment pipelines; ensure smooth releases with minimal disruption to live operations.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with the category, marketing, and operations teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and deliver new features or tools as needed.

Additional Notes: This is a hands-on, ownership-driven role. The Full Stack Developer is expected to take full responsibility for the website's health and performance and may be assigned additional technical projects or platform initiatives as the business scales.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Equivalent practical experience or a strong portfolio will be considered.
2–4 years of professional experience in full stack web development, preferably with exposure to e-commerce platforms.
Demonstrated experience building and maintaining production-grade web applications end-to-end.
Prior experience with e-commerce platforms (WooCommerce, Shopify, Magento, or custom builds) is a strong advantage.

Skills & Competencies

Proficient in frontend technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one modern framework (React, Vue, or similar).
Proficient in backend development: Node.js, PHP, Python, or equivalent; RESTful API design and development.
Strong working knowledge of relational and/or non-relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
Familiarity with cloud hosting environments (AWS, DigitalOcean, or similar) and server management.
Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
Understanding of web security standards and best practices.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and manage priorities under pressure.
Good communication skills for coordinating technical work with non-technical teams.
