Roles and responsibilities of this job

To oversee the end-to-end operations of the Retail store floor managing the sales team, ensuring exceptional customer experience, maintaining floor standards, and driving store-level sales performance. The role is responsible for the smooth functioning of all floor activities including replenishment, till operations, team supervision, and promotional execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Floor Operations Management : Oversee all day-to-day retail floor activities, ensuring smooth operations across all sections. Maintain high standards of store presentation, cleanliness, and product display at all times.
Team Supervision & Development: Directly manage and guide Sales Associates on the floor; allocate duties, monitor attendance, coach on product knowledge and selling techniques, and conduct on-floor performance reviews.
Sales & Upselling: Drive store-level sales targets by motivating the team, monitoring performance against daily goals, and stepping in to assist with customer interactions when needed.
Replenishment & Inventory : Oversee shelf and floor replenishment cycles; coordinate with the warehouse or back-store team to ensure products are always available and well-stocked on the floor.
Till & Transaction Oversight : Supervise billing counters and POS operations; ensure accurate transaction processing, cash handling, and end-of-day reconciliation.
Customer Experience : Handle escalated customer queries, complaints, and feedback professionally; ensure every customer interaction on the floor meets the brand's service standards.
Merchandising & Visual Standards : Ensure all product displays, signage, and promotional setups are executed correctly and updated as per plan; coordinate with relevant teams for campaign rollouts.
Reporting & Communication : Prepare and share daily floor reports covering sales performance, stock issues, team attendance, and any operational incidents with the Business Head.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

2–3 years of hands-on experience in a retail store environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or floor management role.
Candidates with a strong retail background and relevant experience will be considered regardless of academic specialization.
Proven experience overseeing sales teams, managing floor operations, and handling till/POS systems.
Prior exposure to inventory management, stock replenishment, and merchandising is required.

Skills & Competencies

Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide floor staff.
Customer-first mindset with the ability to handle escalations professionally and calmly.
Good working knowledge of POS and billing systems.
Solid understanding of retail floor standards, visual merchandising, and store presentation.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple floor activities simultaneously.
Clear verbal communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting to the Business Head.
