Location: Nepal

Working hours: 40 hours per week with some weekend and evening work

Job purpose


This Regional Manager position will focus on the recruitment of students into the various programmes offered by Oxford International Education Group (OIEG) in Oxford Direct division for Australia.


Main duties and responsibilities


  • Recruit to agreed targets suitably qualified international students to study OIEG programmes from Nepal.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of international marketing and recruitment plans for priority markets in support of OIEG student recruitment objectives.
  • Undertake recruitment visits to priority markets and to provide reports and market intelligence on these activities.
  • Manage relationships with colleagues within Oxford International in order to maximize student recruitment.
  • Counsel students and give recommendations on programmes in the context of the admissions criteria agreed with the appropriate academic staff, with regard to their admission to our programmes.
  • Develop a good knowledge of the portfolio of programmes offered by Oxford Direct partners and of the entry requirements for these courses in priority markets.
  • Disseminate market intelligence and information on potential business opportunities and report these to the Country Manager, and work with colleagues to progress these opportunities.
  • Maintain good relations with target external organisations including schools, colleges and universities in priority markets.
  • Participate in key projects such as developing promotional material and webpages; implementing internal and external communication strategies; and streamlining OIEG’s enquiry and admissions processes for target market students.
  • Conduct appropriate market research, with reference to the strategic development of OIEG’s portfolio of academic programmes or competitor activity.

Statutory Requirements


  • Eligibility to live, work and travel freely in Nepal
  • Undergo an Enhanced DBS disclosure check or overseas equivalent.

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree

Knowledge and Experience

  • Educated to a minimum of degree level
  • Significant years of experience in International Education systems and understanding of the international student’s marketplace and the challenges
  • A sales leader with a successful track record in delivering results through the management of indirect sales.
  • Experience in building and maintaining a key account management sale process.
  • Experience in successfully executing conversion and sales strategies.
  • Experience identifying a customer’s business drivers and influencing their buying behaviour in line with a customer value proposition.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the international student marketplace and the challenges within this industry.
  • Customer-service orientated and consultative approach to selling.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and targets.
  • Native speaker & fluency in English
  • CRM knowledge
