Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Civil QC (Quality Control) Engineer to join our team for an exciting project in Nepal. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in civil engineering, with a significant portion of that experience dedicated to hydro power projects. The Civil QC Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities meet the required standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage all quality control activities on the construction site.
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with project specifications, standards, and safety regulations.
Conduct regular inspections and tests of materials, work in progress, and finished products.
Prepare detailed reports on quality control activities and findings.
Coordinate with the project team, contractors, and clients to address any quality issues or concerns.
Implement and maintain quality assurance processes and procedures.
Provide training and guidance to construction staff on quality standards and practices.
Assist in the resolution of any non-compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
Ensure documentation and records are properly maintained and up-to-date.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 10 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering, with at least 5 years in hydro power projects.
Strong knowledge of quality control standards and procedures in civil engineering.
Experience with construction site management and supervision.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Experience working on large-scale hydro power projects in Nepal or similar regions.
