Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a technically competent and experienced Site Engineer – Civil (Irrigation/Highway) to oversee and coordinate day-to-day civil construction activities at project sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising construction works, monitoring project progress, ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications, coordinating with contractors and project stakeholders, and supporting effective project execution from inception through handover.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and monitor day-to-day civil construction activities at the project site, ensuring work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and work plans.
Monitor project progress against approved schedules and ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
Review and verify Interim Payment Certificates (IPC), measurements, quantities, and supporting documents.
Assist in preparation, evaluation, and documentation of variation orders and additional works.
Coordinate with consultants, project management teams, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of project activities.
Conduct site inspections and ensure construction works comply with approved designs, specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
Prepare and maintain daily site reports, progress reports, measurement records, and other required project documentation.
Monitor the availability and proper utilization of construction materials, manpower, equipment, and other resources at the site.
Identify construction issues, delays, and potential risks and coordinate with the concerned team for timely resolution.
Support testing, inspection, commissioning, and completion activities and assist in project handover and close-out documentation.
Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements at the construction site.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 5 years

Other Specification

At least a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (BE Civil) from a recognized institution.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in infrastructure construction projects.
Experience in irrigation and/or highway/road construction projects will be preferred.
Sound knowledge of Interim Payment Certificates (IPC), variation orders, project scheduling, measurement, and construction coordination.
Experience in handling or participating in a project from inception to completion/handover will be preferred.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SW Road, MS Office, and other relevant engineering software.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, BOQs, and construction documents.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, site supervision, quality control, and project monitoring.
Good communication, coordination, reporting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, consultants, clients, and other project stakeholders.
Willingness to work at project sites and travel as required.
