Executive Search Unit at merojob is currently looking to hire a Sales Development Representative for one of its clients in the software solution industry. The Sales Development Representative (SDR) will responsible to support global, U.S.-based clients operating in complex, real-world industries. This role focuses on outbound sales development and qualification for businesses where buyers are busy, skeptical, and not highly technical. Success requires understanding how customers actually operate day-to-day and communicating in clear, practical language. This is not a script-only cold calling role. It is a thinking role that combines research, communication, and disciplined execution.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct outbound outreach to U.S.-based prospects via phone, email, LinkedIn, and other appropriate channels
Research accounts before outreach to understand the business, operations, and likely decision-makers
Qualify inbound and outbound leads through real conversations, not checkbox scripts
Ask practical questions about workflows, operations, and pain points
Book high-quality, well-qualified meetings
Handle reschedules and no-shows professionally
Explain software and services in simple, non-technical language
Adapt communication style based on who you are speaking with (owner vs operator, senior vs junior stakeholders)
Avoid jargon that confuses or alienates non-technical buyers
Maintain clean and accurate CRM records
Track and report KPIs such as outreach volume, conversations started, meetings booked, and show-up rates
Collaborate with marketing, automation, and strategy teams to refine messaging
Required Qualifications & Skills
Have 1–3 years of experience in outbound sales, telemarketing, or SDR roles
Are fluent and confident in spoken and written English
Are comfortable selling and conversing with U.S.-based customers
Can communicate effectively with small business owners and operators
Can explain complex ideas in practical, easy-to-understand terms
Are disciplined, consistent with follow-ups, and goal-oriented
Are based in Kathmandu and available to work full-time onsite
Strong Plus (Not Mandatory)
Exposure to logistics, food distribution, or operations-heavy industries
Understanding of how small or family-run businesses operate
Spanish language ability (spoken or written)
Familiarity with CRM tools such as HubSpot, Close.io, Apollo, or similar systems
