Job Description

The Marketing and Administration Officer will lead marketing duties and assist in the administrative tasks related to one of the Gham Power’s primary product-line: Solar Powered Agro-Processing Systems, most commonly, the Solar Water Pumps.

Job Description

Marketing Functions

  • Planning, preparation and execution to set and achieve KPI targets for sales and marketing
  • Maintain and update sales and marketing data, set weekly, monthly, annual targets; and analyse trends, demographics, geography, pricing strategy, partnership and commissions, or other relevant information that can potentially improve the marketing, sales, or partnership development. Produce relevant reports.
  • Plan and implement outreach activities with potential local representatives, cooperatives and micro-finance institutions, and other organizations to acquire new partners and develop a network of local partners throughout the country.
  • Plan and conduct overview and training programs for potential partners and local representatives throughout the country.
  • Communicate with local representatives, and partner institutions to monitor and report their performance and progress by designing, maintaining and analysing suitable metrics and KPIs
  • Identify high potential exhibitions, trade shows, or other marketing opportunities; design suitable publicity/marketing materials to represent Gham Power.
  • Contribute information, ideas and research to help develop sales strategies and innovative approaches for marketing different products and services.

Digital Functions

  • Track the progress and status of projects in the online project development platform, Off Grid Bazaar. Take necessary actions, and communicate with relevant party through emails, phone, or otherwise.
  • Produce regular updates and reports summarizing the overall status and the progress of projects in the Off Grid Bazaar Platform.

Operations Functions

  • Oversee Clients’ Loan Management process, by screening and helping customers qualify for loan, apply due diligence, and coordinate with the clients and partner banks to get the loan applications approved swiftly and efficiently.
  • Track monthly loan repayments, conduct follow-up calls and visit customers when necessary.
  • Ensure that the all the documents related to every projects are filed and maintained as per the standards.
  • Coordinate with the Operations Department to conduct other tasks relevant to the department.

Skills and Education

  • Prior experience in sales, marketing, or other relevant roles is highly desirable
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any of the relevant streams like Marketing, Business or a Related Field,
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills. Effective communication and presentation skills is vital.
  • Excellent command over Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Prior experience or involvement in activities related to operations or administrative duties will be a plus.
  • Highly motivated, quick leaner and capacity to adjust and contribute in a stressful and challenging environment
  • Owning license and a two-wheeler vehicle
  • The position requires frequent visits to rural Nepal. Finding solace, tranquility and fun in travelling, often to beautiful, unspoiled, rural nooks and corners of the country will come handy.
