Job Description

  • Manage all HR functions including but not limited to recruitment, performance management, employee relations, benefits and compensations. Maintaining the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions
  • Monitoring the daily attendance. Monitoring of daily attendance and the investigation of and understanding of causes for staff absences.
  • Develop and Maintain the school’s HR policies and procedures, forms, etc.Maintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
  • Manage the recruitment process including but not limited to posting ads, analysing, recruiting for open positions in liaison with the Principal/ Leadership Team. Documentation and assembling paperwork for Visa and Work Permit, liaising with Head of Finance, Visa Office Facilitator and relevant ministries regarding paperwork
  • Maintain proper and updated human resource records
  • Supervise range of national staff including officer responsible for VISA workings and paperworks
  • Liaise closely with all the departments for the day to day functions including Payroll Management, CPD (Training), etc
  • Administer the national medical claim form, insurance claims, etc.
  • Oversee employee orientation and onboarding (housing) for expat staff
  • Liaise closely with the Human Resource Chair (BoG) regarding the overall development of administrative and logistical systems crucial to the overall functioning of the school
  • Responsible for overall centralized HR admin function such as employee offer letters, yearly appraisal salary letters and employment contracts
  • Provide assistance to expatriate teachers with regard to their police clearance, etc upon arrival and at the end of contract
  • Provision of advice and recommendations on disciplinary actions.
  • To maintain and develop leading edge HR systems and processes to address the effective management of people in relation to the following in order to maintain competitive advantage for
  • Performance Management, Staff Induction, reward and recognition staff retention management development / career development succession planning, competency building / mapping compensation / benefit programs , to facilitate and support the development of the Team members
  • Develop, Implement and maintain effective compliance with all prevalent laws of Nepal or International which affects the school’s HR Department
  • Maintain the employee relation and resolve any disputes in close coordination with the Principal/ Leadership Team
  • Absolute confidentiality and discretion must be observed at all times
