Roles and responsibilities of this job
We’re hiring a hands-on technical expert to own all things product, installation, and technical support for Raiden Energy’s EV chargers and battery systems,with a clear fast-track to becoming the company’s Chief Technical Officer for the right person. You will split time between the office (design reviews, remote support, product roadmap) and the field (site surveys, installations, commissioning, troubleshooting). This role is equal parts engineer, operator, trainer, and product owner.

Experience
Minimum 1+ years hands-on experience in field service, installation, commissioning, or technical support for power electronics/EV chargers/telecom power or industrial power equipment.
Proven track record of diagnosing and resolving hardware, firmware, and network faults in the field.
Education
Overseer OR Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Power Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
Technical skills
Practical electrical installation & commissioning: wiring, protective devices, grounding, transformer/load assessments, SAT.
Experience with electrical system, if better preferably if has better understood OCPP, CCS2, GBT. Familiarity with Modbus, CAN, PLC is highly desirable.
Embedded/firmware understanding: ability to read schematics, update firmware, and interpret device logs.
Telemetry & remote diagnostics: use of cloud dashboards, alarm analysis, and SIM/VPN/LAN troubleshooting.
Competence with test and diagnostic tools: multimeter, clamp meter, oscilloscope; basic thermal and mechanical validation awareness.
Spare-parts / RMA handling and simple inventory planning.
Soft skills
Excellent customer-facing communication and training ability — clear, patient, and professional.
Strong practical problem-solving and systematic troubleshooting mindset.
Safety-first attitude and site awareness (lockout/tagout, PPE, HV precautions).
Documentation discipline: writes clear site reports and keeps CRM updated.
Team leadership potential: able to train and mentor junior techs and coordinate with vendors.
Analytical & tech-savvy
Comfortable interpreting telemetry and sales/installation data to identify reliability issues and product improvements.
Able to translate field issues into technical change-requests with clear acceptance criteria.
Travel & field readiness
Willingness to travel widely across Nepal for multi-day site visits; comfortable with frequent field work and overnight stays.
Valid driver’s license required.
Tools & systems
Proficient with basic CRM systems, Excel, and sales/operations dashboards.
Familiarity with remote diagnostic tools, log analysis, and simple network troubleshooting.
Personal attributes
Highly organized, self-motivated, disciplined in follow-ups and CRM hygiene.
“Roll up your sleeves” practical engineer who enjoys hands-on work.
Persuasive communicator when explaining technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
