Roles and responsibilities of this job

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for ensuring smooth, reliable and safe operation of all electrical and instrumentation systems in the cement plant. The role includes preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, power system management, automation support, and improvement of plant electrical reliability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Operation & Maintenance

Oversee operation and maintenance of electrical equipment, transformers, switchgears, MCCs, VFDs, DG sets, UPS systems, and power distribution panels.
Ensure timely preventive and breakdown maintenance to minimize downtime.
Monitor electrical loads and ensure uninterrupted power supply to plant sections.

Instrumentation & Automation

Support maintenance and calibration of instruments including pressure, temperature, flow, and level instruments.
Assist in maintenance and troubleshooting of PLC/DCS systems and plant automation.
Coordinate with CCR, production and mechanical teams for process-related instrumentation support.

Troubleshooting & Improvement

Diagnose electrical and instrumentation faults and implement corrective actions.
Participate in reliability improvement projects, energy-saving initiatives, and system upgrades.
Maintain plant electrical safety, grounding systems, and protection systems.

Compliance, Safety & Documentation

Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory requirements, and company policies.
Maintain maintenance records, shutdown reports, and spare management.
Support ISO, audit compliance, and standard operating procedures.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 3 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering (Diploma holders with strong experience may also be considered)
3–5 years of experience in cement industry / heavy industrial plant preferred (Fresh engineers may also be considered based on capability as GET)
Good coordination and teamwork abilities
Ability to work under pressure and in shift duties

Note:

According to the company policy Factory employee will get semi furnished Accommodation however Food will be chargeable if taken in Mess/ Canteen. If they want to cook they can.
As it in factory so employees have to work in shift as required. Other facilities according to the organization policy.
