Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

The storekeeper is responsible for the maintaining organization’s storeroom (physically and in software) and performing activities such as stocking of operational materials and supplies, inventory control and records and related duties as required.

The primary tasks, duties, and responsibilities of the storekeeper are listed below:

Take delivery of all incoming materials and reconcile with purchase orders
Track, document, and resolve any discrepancies on received orders
Ensure accuracy of the facility’s inventory system by updating records of physical inventory totals, receipts, issuance, adjustments, and returns
Manage inventory/supplies and ensure they are within the established minimum and maximum levels
Keep up-to-date records of receipts, records, and withdrawals from the stockroom and coldroom and maintain detailed records of freezers supplied in the market in accounting software and excel sheet
Responsible for returning cancelled or damaged items back to suppliers as appropriate
Issuing of raw materials to production department as per their daily requirement
Entering finished goods quantity in software after verification of the total quantity provided by production and cold room staff
Maintaining upto date inventory of raw materials, finished goods and freezers
The job requires heavy lifting and loading of inventories, raw materials and finished goods, hence the applicant has to be fit and able to lift heavy loads (up to 50kgs)
