Job Description

Promote good working practices with all staff
Ensure that all customer special orders are processed as quickly as possible and liaise with customers regarding delivery times
Ensure customer complaints are dealt with in accordance with company policy
Ensure that tills are manned and queues are managed in accordance with customer
Manage retail staff, among which includes people working on the floor, and the cashiers
Work on store displays
To complete the Daily Inspection Checklist and management floor walks as and when required to ensure consistency.
Coach, counsel, discipline and train employees
Identify market trends that appeal to customers
Ensure products are clean and ready to be displayed
Maintain inventory and ensure items are in stock
Ensure promotions are accurate and in tune with company’s standards
Make sure that health and safety measures are met
Monitor local competitors
Make sure pricing is correct
Meet financial goals by analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions in preparing monthly budget; formulating pricing policies and scheduling expenditures
Make sure that all tills are cashed up and balanced at the end of the day
Evaluate self-on-the-job performance, as well as other staff
Analyze financial statements in order to enhance profit making opportunities
Maintain inventory and ensure items are in stock

Utilize computers to record sales figures, for data analysis and forward planning

Help area supervisor to drive, motivate, and encourage retail sales staff to achieve sales targets
Handle customer complaints, issues and questions
Maintain working relationship with suppliers and warehouse personals by communicating and dealing with concerns or problems.
Prepare Inventory documentation and performing stock takes to avoid shrinkages and damages
Ensure store has the right amount of stock to meet customer needs and also to avoid overstocking items
Provide store key holder support including opening and closing of the store as required as part of the Duty In-charge
Ensure that visual merchandising standards are achieved and that all products are displayed in accordance with company policy
