Job Description

In a recruitment company, the role of the GM/Operation Manager is crucial for overseeing and equally participate in various aspects of the end-to-end recruitment process. This includes but not limited to attracting and sourcing job seekers, creating talent pool and onboarding as per recruitment guidelines and company policy. Here are the typical job responsibilities of a GM/OM in a recruitment company:

  • Identify hiring needs, develop recruitment action plan & strategy based on each and every demand is notified
  • Prepare, share and regularly supervise relevant job advertisements (digital, newspaper and social media) has been published by the concerns and timely updated the progress
  • Prepare and plan proper recruitment plan and develop robust strategy to maximize applicant pool and analyze application received through different sources and channels
  • Conduct and facilitate screening and selection of qualified candidates as per given criteria and guidelines based on suitability & reliability
  • Assess and brief job roles, criteria, quality and qualification as stated in demand specification
  • Prepare and receive final updated candidate list, and facilitate pre-interview ensuring the maximum qualified candidates could be lined-up in the final interview by the client either virtual of face to face
  • To assure the quality and standard, should coordinate with training & development team to enhance their job knowledge, skill and ability through proper training and grooming
  • Coordinate with recruitment team before lining-up qualified and skilled candidates in final interview with undated final list and all relevant documents are well groomed and briefed for final interview with clients
  • Coordinate with the final interview and recruitment team, get final selection list and share the results to the concern department for further needful processing like signing job offer letter & contract, processing for medical check-up and biometrics check-up with clear and concise report ensuring timely submission of visa.
  • Check and confirm visa is received and concern department has clearly followed up candidates for further needful processing including training, orientation, compliance checks and timely departure.

Qualification and Requirements:

  • At least Bachelor's or higher degree in Human Resources/Business Administration/or related field from reputed university is required for this position.
  • Extensive experience (5 to 8 year) in recruitment agency in similar position in Human Resources Industry is mandatory. Or 10 to 15 year experience in similar industry including hospitality and other related service/trade sector in senior managerial position will be considered.
  • Proven track record of strategic leadership, planning, and analysis in a complex and dynamic business environment.
  • Strong knowledge of business/marketing/human resources and labour laws, rule & regulation is required. Knowledge of RBA, Ethical Recruitment Process, IOM and ILO is desirable.
  • Excellent critical thinking, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional professional communication (English & Nepali both written and verbal), insightful leadership, and interpersonal abilities are keys to this position.
  • Ability to work effectively and independently in a fast-paced, challenging environment and drive results.
  • Excellent computing (Work, Excel & PowerPoint), presentation skill and knowledge of relevant designing digital tools are mandatory.
  • Must be flexible and available to conduct frequent visits outside duty station with clients or official travel as and when required.
  • Must have sound knowledge in drafting precise progress report reflecting company’s expectation and timely presentation/submission to the management is crucial.
