Ability to create both negative and positive use cases based on the requirements
Ability to debug and locate the root cause of errors
Experience using different test methodologies across varied programming platforms
Knowledge on configuration management tool (SVN)
Knowledge regarding Test Automation (TestComplete, WinRunner, etc)
Familiarity with bug tracking tools (Bugzilla, Mantis, ClearQuest, etc)
Programming skills in the following are desirable:

Database queries (SQL, etc)
Scripting (Perl, Python, etc)
Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, CMMi, etc)

Job Description

Responsible to lead the test initiative on some of Javra's key software development projects.
Should work side by side with Javra's Quality Control lead to introduce improved software testing practices into Javra Software's growing Quality Assurance team.
Lead Quality Assurance activities in your assigned project(s)
Lead other software testers in your project(s)
Take initiative and ownership in ensuring quality of deliverable
Execute Manual and Automated Software testing
Create bug and test reports
Communicate with Project Team, Management and Customers regarding test results.
Write test plans:

Engage with the requirement owners to derive test requirements
Plan the best test strategy using the best test tools

Build and maintain test environments:

Write test scripts
Prepare test data
