Roles and responsibilities of this job
Tibetan Handicraft & Paper (THP) is implementing a production development and capacity-building project in collaboration with NIB. The project focuses on strengthening traditional Lokta paper production through improved operational systems, workforce skill development, and better inventory and quality control practices.
In addition to production upgrades, the project places emphasis on design innovation and product development, including refining existing products, developing new paper-based applications, and aligning production capabilities with evolving market and client needs. The initiative also supports preparation for environmental, social, and governance (ESG) alignment and long-term sustainability.
The project involves close, hands-on coordination between project management, production teams, designers, and operations staff within an active manufacturing environment, aiming to balance traditional craftsmanship with practical modernisation.
