Job Description

  • Preparing plans for the purchase of materials, supplies, and equipment
  • Following and enforcing the company's procurement policies and procedures
  • Reviewing, comparing, analyzing, and approving products and services to be purchased
  • Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts
  • Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers
  • Preparing budgets, cost analyses, and reports
  • Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records of materials, supplies, and equipment in the software; generating related reports to verify inventory levels, and determining reorder activity and usage rates
  • Distribution and issuance of uniforms, supplies, materials, and/or equipment based on incoming requests and orders
  • Follow-up with vendors and suppliers to ensure prompt delivery of items
  • Conducting an inspection on the receipt of delivery from suppliers to verify the quality and quantity of materials and equipment received against specifications and units ordered
  • Ensure hazardous materials are stored properly
