Job Description

Plays a crucial role in supporting the procurement process within an organization. Their responsibilities typically include:

  • Assisting Procurement Team: Procurement assistants work closely with procurement officers to facilitate the purchasing of goods and services for the organization. This may involve assisting in the preparation of procurement documents, such as requests for proposals (RFPs) or purchase orders.
  • Vendor Communication: They often communicate with vendors to obtain quotes, negotiate prices, and gather information about products or services. This includes maintaining good relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and favorable terms.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Procurement assistants are responsible for maintaining accurate records of procurement activities. This includes filing documents, tracking orders, and updating databases or procurement systems.
  • Research and Analysis: They may be tasked with researching potential suppliers, comparing prices and quality of products or services, and analyzing data to identify cost-saving opportunities or efficiency improvements.

Requirements and Qualifications:
