Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a highly driven and strategic National Sales Manager to lead the sales function for our skin care portfolio across Nepal. This role will be responsible for delivering topline growth, market share expansion, and distribution excellence across all channels.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in FMCG or personal care sales, with proven expertise in managing large distribution networks, leading high-performing teams, and executing national sales strategies.

Strategy and Planning:

Develop and execute the annual national sales plan aligned with brand and business strategy.
Define channel-wise, region-wise, and SKU-wise targets; cascade to the field organization.
Build the 3-year distribution and growth roadmap for the skin care category in Nepal.

Sales Delivery:

Deliver primary and secondary sales targets across all seven provinces.
Drive value and volume market share growth versus key competitors (Himalaya, Nivea, Pond's, Lakmé, Garnier, local players).
Ensure a healthy product mix and SKU range selling across channels.

Distribution and Channel Management:

Build, manage, and optimize the distributor network across Kathmandu Valley, Pokhara, Birgunj, Biratnagar, Butwal, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and other key towns.
Lead Modern Trade JBPs (Bhatbhateni, Salesberry, Big Mart, etc.) and pharmacy/cosmetics chain engagements.
Develop e-commerce sales via Daraz, SastoDeal, and own D2C channels.
Ensure distributor ROI, claims hygiene, and timely settlement.

Team Leadership:

Lead, coach, and develop a team of Regional/Area Sales Managers, Sales Officers, Beauty Advisors, and Merchandisers.
Drive a performance culture through structured reviews, capability building, and succession planning.
Ensure attrition stays within benchmark and key roles have ready successors.

Trade Marketing and Execution:

Partner with Marketing on NPD launches, BTL activations, visibility programs, and trade schemes.
Ensure flawless in-market execution of the brand plan.
Drive perfect-store metrics across priority outlets.

Commercial and Compliance:

Manage trade spends, margins, and pricing in line with category P&L.
Ensure compliance with DDA, customs, VAT, and all regulatory requirements applicable to cosmetics in Nepal.
Maintain control of damages, expeses, credit days, and overall commercial hygiene.

Market Intelligence:

Provide regular insights on competition, trade dynamics, and consumer trends.
Feed market intelligence into brand and innovation planning.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 10 years

Other Specification

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
MBA / PGDM preferred
Minimum 10–14 years of experience in FMCG / Personal Care / Skin Care sales
Proven track record in national or regional sales leadership roles
Strong experience in distribution management and channel expansion

Market share growth in skin care category
Expansion in numeric and weighted distribution
