Local Fund Raising Officer

The Local Fund Raising Officer will be responsible for the development, implementation, and reporting of fund development strategies, annual plans, and regular reviews. S/he will be responsible for enhancing the brand of SOS Children’s Villages Nepal and its work amongst public and key stakeholders (e.g. High net worth individuals, corporate and business homes, like-minded development organizations, and government agencies) by developing a long-term media and public relations program.

Key Performance Areas and Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepares comprehensive database of the local donors/sponsors.
  • Acquires new donors and retain existing donors as per agreed targets.
  • Prepares proposals, coordinates donor visits, organises fund development events and contributes to the development of donor communication material.

Qualification, Experience, and Skills:

  • Master’s Degree in any discipline with a preference for a Master’s in Business Administration, particularly with a specialization in Marketing
  • Minimum work experience of three years in fundraising with a non-profit organization.
  • An aptitude for preparing donor communication materials and funding proposals in a comprehensive
  • language
  • Good knowledge of fund development strategies
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Nepali and proficiency in computer applications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
  • Experience working with children and young people will be an added advantage
  • Preference will be given to candidates having two – wheeler license

Age: Below 35 years
