Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

Maintain strong knowledge of Nepalese law and demonstrate excellent legal drafting skills in both English and Nepali.
Draft cases related to intellectual property, labour matters, income tax, and other corporate legal issues across all three companies.
Draft and review contracts, agreements, and legal documents for each sister concern.
Prepare legal documents, notices, and responses for group companies and affiliates.
Provide legal protection and legal due diligence
Represent the sister companies in courts, government offices, regulatory agencies, and other authorities as directed.
Maintain proper documentation, filing, and tracking of legal cases for all business entities.
Coordinate with the group’s legal advisor, external counsel, departments, and associated companies.
Provide legal advice and updates to senior management.
Provide legal support and guidance to different departments, employees, and other business units.
Interpret relevant laws and disseminate required legal information to concerned staff
Review documents and provide compliance advice to reduce legal and operational risks.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Qualification: LLB / BBM-LLB / BA-LLB (LLM preferred)
Must have completed BBM-LLB / BA-LLB / LLB or equivalent with a valid Nepal Bar Council license.
Preference will be given to candidates with LLM, especially in Commercial Law / Contract Law.
Strong knowledge of Company Law, Intellectual Property Law, Labour Law, Contract Law, Corporate & Commercial Law, and industry-related regulations.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in corporate or legal practice.
Strong command of English and Nepali, with excellent drafting skills.
Good ability in Nepali typing and proficiency in MS Office.

Note:

The selected Legal Officer will be responsible for handling legal matters of three sister concerns of the Group - a Food & Agro-based Manufacturing Company, a Pharmaceutical Company, and a Distillery.
