Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and experienced Account and Finance Officer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial management, and statutory compliance, with hands-on experience in project-based consultancy or engineering firms. You will play a key role in managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting audits, and assisting management in strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in line with Nepalese accounting standards.
Prepare, monitor, and report cash flow statements; support budgeting and future cash planning.
Manage accounts receivable and payable, including timely invoicing, client follow-ups, and vendor payments.
Perform regular bank reconciliations and maintain proper documentation.
Track project-wise income and expenses, monitor consultancy billing milestones, and report project profitability.
Prepare monthly salary sheets with tax deductions, provident fund, and other statutory contributions.
Coordinate with banks, auditors, tax offices, and regulatory authorities.
Support statutory audits, internal audits, and tax filings by preparing schedules and reconciliations.
Prepare periodic financial reports for management and board review.
Assist management in financial planning, projections, cost control, and decision-making.
Ensure compliance with tax laws, VAT regulations, Labour Act provisions, and other statutory requirements.
Maintain organized physical and digital filing systems for financial records and statutory documents.
Provide timely financial briefings to management to ensure transparency and accountability.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 5 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Semi-Qualified CA / ACCA preferred.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting and financial management. Experience in consultancy or engineering firms is a plus.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, VAT compliance, payroll, and financial reporting in Nepal.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially advanced Excel.
Familiarity with accounting software such as Tally, Tigg, or similar ERP systems.
Excellent analytical, reporting, and documentation skills.
Strong organizational, time management, and coordination abilities.
Effective communication skills and ability to handle confidential financial information professionally.
Valid two-wheeler license for official mobility within the valley.
