Job Description

  • To ensure accurate accounting of the materials/Equipment received and issued
  • To ensure the correctness in the quality, quantity, specifications, condition of the materials received from vendors
  • To investigate, identify and reconcile the physical cycle count discrepancies, i.e., shortages as well as surpluses
  • Monitoring inventory levels and replenishing stock as needed
  • Forecasting supply and demand requirements to ensure stock availability
  • To receive the materials ordered by the purchase department and supplied by the vendors in a proper manner
  • Liaising and negotiating with vendors and suppliers to ensure the quality of stock purchases
  • To stock the materials received from vendors properly as to ensure easy access identification, verification, handling, maintenance etc.
  • Performing regular stock checks and reporting any issues to the supervisor
  • Ensure proper stocking of materials by using appropriate method of care and preservation to avoid any damage and loss
  • To ensure that the store is always maintained up to date in all respects in a presentable condition
  • Developing and implementing inventory control systems and practices
