About the organization
The journey of Alpine Pashmina began in the mid-1990s, during the college years of its founder, when the allure of Nepali Cashmere weaving first captured his attention. While studying in Kathmandu, he discovered the intricate beauty and potential of pashmina, a luxury fiber renowned for its softness and warmth. They recognized not only its cultural significance but also the opportunity to bring this exceptional craft to a global market.
Upon completing his studies, far after in 2004 – with a shared vision of promoting Nepali craftsmanship, he built Alpine Pashmina alongside a factory to distribute the products directly via themselves. The company was founded with a commitment to producing the finest Cashmere products while ensuring that traditional artisans were supported through fair wages and sustainable working practices.
The company’s main showroom, located in Chhaya Center in Kathmandu, became a key milestone in its growth. It provided a platform to showcase authentic cashmere items such as shawls, scarves, and stoles, which quickly gained recognition for their superior quality and craftsmanship.
As Alpine Pashmina expanded, its reputation for exceptional products and ethical practices spread both locally and internationally. The brand’s dedication to combining traditional techniques with modern luxury design helped it become a respected name in the cashmere industry.
Today, Alpine Pashmina continues to uphold its founding values of quality, authenticity, and sustainability. With a strong global presence, the company remains committed to preserving Nepal’s rich cashmere heritage while offering its luxurious products to discerning customers around the world.
