Position Overview:
Gorkha Brewery Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a results-driven New and Recycled Bottle Lead (Project) for a 6-month project assignment to strengthen our returnable packaging system and improve used bottle consumption across Nepal. This role plays a critical part in supporting the Together Towards ZERO & Beyond (TTZAB) sustainability program by improving return-to-source rates, optimizing reverse logistics, and driving stakeholder collaboration across the value chain.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for improving the return to source rate (RtS) and for achieving the target.
- Responsible for updating & analyzing data as per the group reporting tool.
- Responsible for leading the departmental CarlEx and securing its foundation scores.
- Responsible for ensuring return from the outskirts and remote places, having Program Strategy & Governance: Design, implement, and continuously improve bottle return, reuse, and recycling programs across breweries, outlets, and collection centers.
- Responsible for Reverse Logistics & Operations: Optimize collection routes, handling practices, sorting, and transportation to minimize breakage and improve throughput.
- Responsible for Stakeholder Engagement: Develop partnerships with hotel, restaurant, cafes/catering (HoReCa) channels, scrap dealers, and municipal bodies; negotiate service level agreements (SLAs) at the source
- Responsible for Consumer Awareness: Collaborate with marketing/sustainability department to run return campaigns and behaviour-change initiatives; measure impact on collection volumes.
- Responsible for Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Evaluate new technologies (e.g., automated sorting, high efficiency pre washers, pelleting) and pilot solutions to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
- Travel across Nepal for the low return areas and build a network and channels for higher returns
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Statistics, Environmental Science, or related field; master’s preferred.
- 3–7 years of experience in FMCG/beverage operations, reverse logistics, sustainability programs, or packaging.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards related to reusable packaging.
- Proficiency in data analysis and KPI reporting (Excel/Power BI); familiarity with lean/Six Sigma is a plus.
- Strong vendor management, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams such as procurement, suppliers and sub-suppliers.
