Since 2009, the school has been offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). Ullens School is the first IB World School in Nepal that has been authorized by the Government of Nepal to run the IBDP. Job Description

Purpose of the position

The Human Resource (HR) Officer is responsible for providing support in the various human resource functions, which include staffing, training and development, performance management, employee counseling as well as assisting Line Managers on staff functions.

Major duties and responsibilities

The HR Officer shall be responsible for the complete HR functions for the organization while some of the major duties and responsibilities as outlined below:

  • Update, maintain organization structure and ensure that works performed are consistent to such design
  • Facilitate human resource planning, recruitment and selection activities
  • Develop/update job descriptions and specifications
  • Maintain and update staff records on regular basis
  • Implement and regulate staff performance appraisals
  • Support supervisors to develop the staff capabilities and accordingly, organize staff training sessions/workshops
  • Conduct staff orientations
  • Counsel staffs on organizational affairs, expectations and standards
  • Effectively implement HR policies and programs and suggest reviews as needed to support high performance

Requirements

Education& Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management with at least 1 to 2 years’ relevant experience or Master’s degree in Management with specialization in HR/OD

Language:

  • Bilingual, English and Nepali

Skills & Abilities:

  • Should be able to work with Windows-based computer applications and especially with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Should have strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Be a team player, motivator, possess learning aptitude and be able to work with diverse group of people
  • Be able to demonstrate and develop innovative human resource development initiatives

  • Should hold two wheeler driving license (preferred)
