  • The HR Manager will have robust interpersonal and team working skills, and an ability to work independently under minimal supervision
  • He/she must have exceptional man-management skills combined with strong organizational skills and ethics to work closely with departments,managers,employees, and line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures whilst maintaining equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organization.

Job Description

  • The Human Resources (HR) Manager will have a clear understanding of TBC’s objectives which will devise and implement policies  ensuring that both the aims of the institution and the rights of the individual are met
  • Prepare contract papers, appointment letters, notices and related documents for  staff, consultants, teachers and organizations
  • Manage the entire interview process
  • Conduct induction and orientation to new staff
  • Maintain on a weekly basis the attendance, lateness and absenteeism of the college
  • Maintain the holiday and sickness registers for the college
  • Develop HR planning strategies with line managers, which considers immediate and long-term staff requirements in terms of projected numbers and skill requirements
  • Recruit staff (including the interview process above) this includes developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing advertisements, checking application forms, shortlisting, interviewing and selecting candidates
  • Deal with grievances and implement TBC’s disciplinary procedures both tactfully and with diplomacy
  • Update public holidays, bandhs and political events for the convenience of staff and administration
  • Update all of the HR forms including the Staff Handbook, in consultation with the Principal
  • Demonstrate an awareness of both British and Nepali employment law
