DAV Sushil Kedia Vishwa Bharati School invites applications from well-qualified, dynamic, and committed candidates for the position of Hostel Warden/Matron.

The Hostel Warden will be responsible for the overall supervision, administration, discipline, safety, and welfare of students residing in the hostel, while ensuring smooth day-to-day hostel operations and maintaining high standards of hygiene and discipline.

Key Responsibilities

Overall supervision and management of hostel operations and student discipline
Ensure the safety, welfare, well-being, and moral conduct of the students
Enforce hostel rules, routines, and code of conduct
Coordinate effectively with school management, parents, teachers, and hostel staff
Maintain hostel records, attendance, schedules, inventories, and periodic reports
Handle student grievances, emergencies, and provide counseling and guidance as required
Supervise Assistant Hostel Wardens and housekeeping staff
Plan and manage duty rosters and staff responsibilities
Support students’ academic routines, daily schedules, and personal development

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 3 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s Degree (Degree in Education or relevant academic field preferred)
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar hostel or residential institution role
Experience in student supervision, discipline management, and hostel administration

Skills and Competencies

Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
Ability to manage students with empathy, firmness, and fairness
Sound understanding of student welfare, safety, and counseling practices
Organizational and record-keeping skills
Ability to handle emergencies and conflict situations calmly
Knowledge of hygiene standards, housekeeping supervision, and sanitation practices
