Roles and responsibilities of this job

Department: Academic Department
Reports To: Academic Advisor / Grade Teacher

Job Purpose

The Primary Level Teacher is responsible for providing quality education to students at the primary level by planning, organizing, and delivering engaging lessons that promote academic excellence, character development, creativity, and social growth. The teacher shall create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

A. Teaching and Learning

Prepare and implement lesson plans in accordance with the prescribed curriculum.
Deliver effective classroom instruction using appropriate teaching methods and educational technologies.
Facilitate students' intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development.
Encourage active participation and collaborative learning among students.
Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning needs and abilities.
Integrate practical activities, projects, and co-curricular activities into the learning process.

B. Student Assessment and Evaluation

Conduct regular assessments, tests, assignments, and classroom activities.
Monitor and evaluate student progress and maintain accurate academic records.
Prepare and submit internal evaluation reports, progress reports, and report cards on time.
Identify students requiring additional support and provide remedial instruction where necessary.
Provide constructive feedback to students and parents regarding academic performance.

C. Classroom Management

Maintain discipline and create a positive classroom environment.
Establish classroom rules and procedures that promote respect and responsibility.
Ensure students' safety and well-being during school hours.
Manage classroom resources and teaching materials effectively.

D. Communication and Collaboration

Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behavior.
Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, and academic conferences.
Collaborate with fellow teachers, coordinators, and school administration to improve educational outcomes.
Support school policies, rules, and educational objectives.

E. Professional Development

Attend training programs, workshops, seminars, and professional development activities.
Stay updated with modern teaching methodologies and educational practices.
Engage in continuous self-improvement and professional growth.

F. Administrative Duties

Maintain attendance records, lesson plans, teacher logbooks, and other required documentation.
Assist in organizing examinations, educational tours, cultural programs, and extracurricular activities.
Perform other duties assigned by the Principal or School Management.

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Essential Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Education or a relevant subject area.
Teaching License/Certification as required by educational authorities.
Sound knowledge of primary-level curriculum and child-centered teaching methods.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in Education or relevant field.
Prior teaching experience at the primary level.
Training in child psychology, classroom management, or educational technology.

Working Conditions

Full-time position during school operating hours. (10:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
