Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Food Product Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the development, launch, and lifecycle management of food products from concept to market. This role requires a blend of creativity, technical knowledge, and strong market insight to ensure product success and consumer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities :

Manage the entire product lifecycle for FMCG and meat products from procurement to sales.
Develop, launch, and monitor new products according to market demand.
Maintain quality standards and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
Coordinate with suppliers, distributors, and retail partners.
Analyze market trends, competitor products, and customer feedback.
Prepare periodic sales reports, forecasts, and budgets.
Collaborate with the digital marketing team to create online campaigns for product promotion.
Identify new business opportunities to grow market share.
Lead and train sales and distribution teams on product knowledge and sales strategies.
Ensure timely delivery and proper inventory management

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 3 years

Other Specification

Mandatory:

B.Tech / B.E. in Food Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering or B.Sc in Food Science / Meat Technology / Dairy Science

Preferred:

M.Tech / M.Sc in Food Processing, Microbiology, or Industrial Engineering
Certifications in HACCP, ISO 22000, or Lean Manufacturing are a plus

Technical Skills:

Knowledge of food processing equipment and technology
Understanding of meat hygiene, cold chain management, and freezing technology
Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, and FSSAI/FDA compliance
Process improvement and cost control methods

Soft Skills:

Strong leadership and team management skills
Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
Effective communication across departments
Time management and multitasking in a dynamic environment
Additional Knowledge Areas (Industry Specific)

FMCG:

High-speed packaging line operations
Shelf-life stability testing
Ingredient sourcing and formula standardization

Meat / Frozen Foods:

Chilling, freezing, and blast freezing techniques
Cleanroom and hygiene protocols
Slaughterhouse and meat processing knowledge
Regulatory labeling and traceability requirements

Note: Candidate must have a 2-wheeler or 4-wheeler vehicle and a valid license.
