Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and responsible Senior Finance Officer to join our team at our Activity Centre in Kumarigal, Chabahil. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage financial operations efficiently while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

The candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily accounting activities, preparing financial reports and budgets, managing payments and expense tracking, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting overall financial management of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and oversee daily accounting operations, including vouchers, ledgers, and financial records as per the organisation's financial system,
Create an Annual Budget based on the regulations of the organisation,
Prepare and monitor weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports,
Compile and provide financial justification based on project implementation
Manage all the office expenses, student payment coordination, and payment tracking,
Ensure proper documentation and compliance with organisation policies and statutory regulations,
Coordinate with auditors, banks, colleges, institutes, and relevant authorities as required,
Support management with budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control
Supervise junior accounting staff, ensuring accuracy in data entry and reporting
Maintain accurate records for audits and official inspections
Handle income records, office expenses, and IRD-related payments

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Minimum 2 years of experience in the related field,
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred (mandatory)
Prior experience supervising junior accounting staff is an advantage.
Sound knowledge of accounting software, financing system, taxation,
Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Google Drive, and Google Sheets
Good command of written and spoken English
High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure
