Department: Department of Planning and Contract

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced and detail-oriented Contract Management Officer / Manager to support contract planning, tendering processes, and documentation for hydropower projects. The role involves assisting in contract administration, bid management, and coordination across project teams while ensuring compliance with Nepalese laws and company standards. Candidates must be capable of working in a remote project location and using Chinese as a working language.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of economic clauses for bidding documents and bidding clarification documents.
Assist in all stages of the tendering process, including publishing tender notices, organizing bid evaluations, preparing evaluation reports, coordinating bid issuance and bid opening meetings, issuing notices of award, and drafting engineering contract documents.
Assist in contract numbering management, contract clause review, execution of various contracts, and contract archiving.
Assist in the management of contract awarding for sporadic projects within the company.
Assist in reviewing contract payments, preparing internal approval settlement documents, and; completing the approval process.
Assist in drafting, circulating, and archiving project initiation documents within the department.
Assist in translation tasks within the department.
Assist the supervisor in completing other tasks as assigned.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 3 years

Other Specification

Possess a bachelor's degree in Engineering or Management, and have three year or more of experience in contract management.
Ability to use Chinese as a working language.
Possess a basic understanding of contract management in Nepal’s hydropower industry, including tender management, contract documentation management, and project cost management.
Possess the psychological, physical, and family conditions to reside permanently in Manang, where the project is located.

Skills required:

Good communication skills.
Be familiar with Nepali contract-related laws and policies.
Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
Good English writing ability.
