Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to lead one of Nepal's largest commercial building construction projects (Aadar Trade Mall). The successful Project Manager will lead the project from commencement through completion, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, superior quality, regulatory compliance, and the highest standards of health and safety while maintaining effective coordination among all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage all remaining civil, structural, interior fit-out, and MEP construction works from mobilization through testing, commissioning and final handover.
Plan, organize, monitor, and control overall construction activities.
Ensure project completion within the approved timeline, budget, and quality standards.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and government authorities.
Develop and monitor detailed project schedules using MS Project or equivalent planning software.
Review and approve construction methodologies, work programs, and resource planning.
Monitor construction progress and implement corrective actions where required.
Manage project cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow.
Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, engineering standards, and local regulations.
Supervise structural, architectural, finishing, and external development works.
Coordinate MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) works with civil construction activities.
Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Conduct regular project review meetings and prepare progress reports for senior management.
Ensure implementation of Quality Assurance (QA/QC) procedures.
Promote and enforce workplace health, safety, and environmental standards.
Manage project documentation, contract administration, and change management.
Lead and mentor project engineers, site engineers, supervisors, and support teams.

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 10 years

Other Specification

Bachelor's Degree (BE) in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (Mandatory)
Master's Degree (ME/MSc) in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (Preferred)
Additional knowledge or experience in MEP systems will be a significant advantage.

Experience Requirements

Proven Minimum 10 years of professional experience in large scale building construction project management.
Proven experience managing large-scale commercial buildings, high-rise apartments, mixed-use developments, hotels or hospital projects.
Experience delivering projects from foundation through final handover.
Demonstrated leadership in managing multidisciplinary construction teams.

Technical Competencies

Strong knowledge of project planning and scheduling.
Proficiency in Microsoft Project.
Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD.
Experience with modern project management and engineering software, such as:
o Primavera P6
o Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360
o Navisworks
o Revit (coordination level)
o Microsoft Excel (Advanced)
o Power BI (preferred)
o Procore or equivalent construction management platform
Sound understanding of construction methodologies, structural engineering, and contract management.
Knowledge of QA/QC systems, construction safety standards, and risk management.
