  • Provide consistent and accurate advice and recommendations to external stakeholders regarding the requirements for engagement in Cleanup Nepal 2014 programs and events.

Job Description

  • We would like to invite applications for 2* Clean up Nepal Program officers (interns) to join our Kathmandu-based Clean up Nepal team. The interns will have an opportunity to work closely with seasoned professionals and learn critical skills needed for career growth.
  • Clean up Nepal Program Officers will provide quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders, and publicly represent Clean up Nepal. This position is responsible for implementing the Clean up Nepal 2014 Plan of Action; developing, strengthening, maintaining and building new and existing relationships with Clean up Nepal Stakeholders; and liaising with Clean up Nepal office-based and online volunteers.
  • The successful applicant must have tertiary qualifications in Environment Science/Social Sciences/Humanities/Communication or equivalent. Individuals currently undertaking a Bachelor degree may also be considered. The applicant must also have a sound understanding of administration, risk management, records management and corporate communication. The proven ability to lead and motivate teams to deliver quality outcomes along with the proven capacity to deal with a diverse range of issues and to meet deadlines is essential.
  • The positions will be on a part-time basis initially (25 hours per week), with hours increasing to meet campaign workload requirements up to a full-time basis (40 hours per week) for a limited period. These intern positions are offered for a fixed period of 12 months and NRs 5000 per month (25 hour week) will be provided on commencement.
