Roles and responsibilities of this job
The Chief Finance Officer (CFO) will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of Batas Hire Purchase Pvt. Ltd., ensuring fiscal discipline, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial planning. The CFO will play a critical role in driving financial strategy, optimising resource allocation, and supporting the company’s long-term objectives. This position requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and in-depth knowledge of Nepal’s financial regulations, including the Income Tax Act, Nepal Financial Reporting Standards (NFRS), and Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) directives.
Key Responsibilities:
The CFO will undertake the following duties to ensure the financial health and compliance of Batas Hire Purchase Pvt. Ltd.:
Financial Oversight and Cash Flow Management
Accounting and Reconciliation
o Bank accounts.
o Loan-related transactions.
o Party-wise subvention, commission, and other charges receivable.
o Party-wise payables.
Regulatory Compliance and Reporting
Financial Planning and Budgeting
Audit and Systems Support
Leadership and Coordination
Job Specification
Required qualifications for this job
Other Specification
Education: Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CA.
Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a financial institution or hire purchase company or related company.
Technical Skills:
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Compliance: In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements for hire purchase companies in Nepal.
Problem-Solving: Strong decision-making skills with the ability to address financial and operational challenges effectively.
