Job Description

  • Creating long-term and short-term plans, including setting targets for category milestones and adhering to deadlines
  • Efficiently distribute tasks on the category growth projects to team members best positioned to complete them
  • Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with category growth projects
  • Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same projects to ensure team actions remain in synergy
  • Communicating with executive and reporting manager to keep the project aligned with their goals
  • Performing quality control on the category growth throughout development to maintain the standard expected
  • Adjusting schedules and targets on the category growth projects as need or financing for the project changes
  • Analyze data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends
  • Devise long-term development strategies for focused categories 
  • Co-ordinate with category managers to achieve better pricing and quality of services 
  • Develop launch plan that aligns to customer demand. 
  • Determine the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility 
  • Liaise with marketing teams to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities of a product category 
  • Collaborate with category managers to expand product categories 
  • Make forecasts for demand to ensure the sustainability of product category 
  • Closely work with Category managers for budget development and revenue for category 
  • Develop overall marketing mix plan for focused categories
