Job Summary

  • To process inward and outward clearing transactions.
  • To understand thoroughly the new electronic cheque clearing process’s functionalities. Capabilities and review operational risks and standards of controls associated with the system.
  • To ensure that the established service standards are met.
  • Handle complicated internal and external customer inquiries / complains independently, confidently.
  • To maintain all required controls and procedures

  • To align role and delivery as per CPBB strategy.

  • WRB, Operations Nepal

Processes

  • Banking Operations Control Register, Job Related Local Regulatory processes.

People & Talent

  • Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners 

Risk Management

  • Execution responsibility for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling, and mitigating financial crime risk, sanctions risk and reputational risks to the Group. Also, an awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the Group and the role the individual plays in managing them 

Governance

  • Ensure the relevant processes are followed as per Group and Local requirement.

  • Branch Managers, Branch Staffs, Relationship Managers, CCC, CE

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in management with some knowledge of accounting, MIS and documentation.
  • Clear knowledge of internal operating procedures of both Manual and Electronic Cheque Clearing. 
  • Very good knowledge of Nepal ECC Operating Rule and the ECC Rule Book.
  • Very good knowledge of Central Bank regulations.
  • Able to work under pressure, tight deadlines and stressful environment. 
  • Good team players with good communication, interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of ECC System, eBBS and other surround systems being used by the unit.
  • Thorough knowledge of Group’s Anti Money Laundering Policy.
  • Ability to work with nil or bare minimum supervision.
