Team Leader

The second phase of the ENSSURE project, a bilateral initiative of Governments of Nepal and Switzerland, is built on the experience of ENSSURE project phase one. The project will scale up the industry based courses eg Dual Vocational Education and Training (Dual-VET) Apprenticeship and short courses in various occupations and sectors in collaboration with business and industries. It also provides career guidance to youths and supports to maintain occupational health and safety of trainees and workers in the industries. The project is implemented by the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) at federal level, the Ministry of Social Development at provincial level and the local governments. Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation provides technical assistance to the project on behalf of Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). The project is implemented in Province 1, Bagmati Province and Lumbini Province. Helvetas Nepal invites applications from committed, experienced, and dynamic Nepali citizens to lead this project in the position of Team Leader. 

Position: Team Leader 
Job Purpose: Team Leader is responsible to 

• Lead overall project management including project fund, human resources and stakeholders; 
  
• Ensure efficient and effective planning, implementation, monitoring of project activities, quality reporting, and knowledge management; 
  
• Maintain close and cordial relationships with government agencies, private sectors, SDC, and other programmes and projects for collaboration. 

Required Education, Experience and Social Competence: 
Master's degree in business management, social science, engineering, education or in any relevant discipline. Minimum 7 years of working experience in a project/programme in a senior management position with at least 3 years of dedicated working experience in managing a project, its human resources, finance, administration, and stakeholders. Working experience in the TVET sector and private sector development will be an advantage. Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion, and poverty reduction is a must. 
Duty station: Primary duty station will be at CTEVT premises, Bhaktapur, secondary duty station will be at Bagmati Province Office with extensive travel to the project sites 
Duration: 3 years with possibility of extension
