|Sparśa is a women-led social business based in Bharatpur, Chitwan producing biodegradable menstrual pads made from locally sourced banana fibre. It is a social business spin-off of NIDISI Nepal and together with our sister organisation NIDISI gGmbH in Germany we work at the intersection of menstrual health, circular economy, and social entrepreneurship. Our vision is to build a financially sustainable business that improves menstrual health, strengthens local livelihoods, and contributes to Nepal's circular economy.
As Sparśa moves from product development to commercialization, we are seeking an entrepreneurial leader who can transform a promising innovation into a thriving, scalable social enterprise.
About This Position
The CEO/Entrepreneurial Lead will be responsible for leading Sparśa's business growth, commercialization, and long-term financial sustainability. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building businesses from the ground up, identifying new opportunities, solving complex challenges, and creating lasting social impact. Unlike a traditional operations role, the CEO/Entrepreneurial Lead will focus on developing business strategy, strengthening market positioning, building strategic partnerships, validating markets, preparing products for launch, and driving commercial growth. The day-to-day management of factory operations is led by the Factory Manager. The CEO/ Entrepreneurial Lead works closely with production and technical teams to ensure that business decisions are commercially viable and aligned with customer and market needs. This position requires a high level of ownership, initiative, and adaptability. The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a startup-like environment where priorities evolve quickly, resources are limited, and innovation is encouraged.

About the organization
Nidisi Nepal is a non-profit organization established in 2019 committed to making a meaningful impact on the lives of underprivileged communities in Nepal.
We are a Nepali European non-profit organization dedicated to building innovative and scalable social business solutions that empower women and promote the circular economy solutions.
Rooted in development cooperation, our mission is to foster equality, financial independence, and sustainable development within local communities. By placing women at the heart of circular economy initiatives, we empower them to lead, gain control over their lives, and make self-determined decisions.
We act locally and share knowledge globally through our two pillars—the NIDISI Project Incubator (Atelier) and the NIDISI Knowledge Hub (Academy)—creating a feedback loop to advance our mission.
Within the NIDISI Project Incubator in Nepal we work together with local communities in Nepal to implement social business models in the areas of plastic recycling, clean water access, menstrual hygiene, and education, addressing societal and environmental challenges.
In the NIDISI Knowledge hub in Germany we collect and share insights from these projects globally to enhance development practices. These pillars work together, refining and expanding our impact.
We believe women empowerment and the circular economy approach are key to driving change. Our vision is a world where social businesses empower people, reduce inequalities, and protect the planet. We aim to create a future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
By sharing best practices with like-minded organizations, we strive to replicate success across the global south and beyond, expanding our impact.
At NIDISI, we believe in the power of collaboration and innovation to drive empowerment and reduce inequalities. Together, we can create a better future for all.
Because
HUMANITY CAN DO BETTER!
