Senior Electrical Engineer

Sanima Hydro is seeking applications from highly motivated, result-oriented, and competent Nepalese citizens who can work well in a team for the following position.

Major Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise plant operators including shift planning and monitor plant performance to ensure high efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Lead the repair and maintenance of the power plant to keep it safe and smoothly operations.
• Provide strong leadership to plant operators and promote for continuous improvement of team.
• Plan and carry out regular maintenance of the plant and fix problems on time.
• Detect, handle, and report power system faults and emergency situations.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on plant operation and maintenance to management.
• Maintain correct records of plant operations, repair and maintenance as per NEA-approved procedures.
• Develop, review, and update technical and operational documents including monthly energy declarations, annual outage schedules, PPA, Connection Agreements, Operation & Maintenance Manuals
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental regulations, and industry standards.
• Prepare budget for the repair and maintenance, spare parts, and essential items required for the plant operation
• Liaise with government offices and regulatory authorities as required.
• Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Should have strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills including excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
