Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities at the site in accordance with approved drawings and work plans.
Ensure execution of civil works related to hydropower structures such as weir, intake, tunnel, powerhouse, headrace, penstock foundations, and tailrace (as applicable).
Manage and guide skilled and unskilled labor, equipment operators, and subcontractor teams.
Ensure works are carried out as per quality standards, specifications, and safety procedures.
Monitor material usage and report shortages or wastage to site management.
Assist site engineers in setting out works, measurements, and site inspections.
Maintain daily site records, including labor attendance, work progress, and material consumption.
Ensure proper housekeeping and adherence to HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) requirements.
Report daily progress, issues, and constraints to the Site Engineer.
Support concrete works, formwork, reinforcement placement, and finishing activities.
Coordinate with store, equipment, and logistics teams for smooth site operations.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Diploma Certificate

Required Experience:More than or equal to 3 years

Other Specification

Diploma in Civil Engineering / Civil Overseer Certificate / Technical Training (preferred)
Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in hydropower or large civil/infrastructure projects

Skills & Competencies:

Practical knowledge of hydropower civil construction activities
Ability to read and understand basic construction drawings
Strong leadership and workforce management skills
Awareness of construction safety standards and site discipline
Good communication and coordination skills
Ability to work under pressure and in remote site conditions
