Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Accountant to join our team at Shangrila Trading Nepal. As a well-established company in the Garments and Carpet Industries, we pride ourselves on our commitment to quality and efficiency in our operations. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial success of our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll
• Monitor and analyze financial data to provide accurate and timely reports to management
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Prepare and submit tax returns, financial statements, and other government compliance reports
• Develop and implement financial and operational controls to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes and provide recommendations for cost reduction and revenue maximization
• Collaborate with the management team to review and analyze financial performance and make strategic recommendations
• Train and mentor junior accounting staff members to ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies
• Keep updated with industry developments and regulations to ensure compliance and suggest necessary changes to management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level accounting role
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and MS Office
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Proven ability to work independently and lead a team
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and regulations
