Job Description

Days for Girls Nepal is currently looking for a School & Partnership Liaison for our Kathmandu-based office. The School & Partnership Liaison will work closely with the Program Officer on coordinating school partnerships, training programs, and project delivery, particularly within the scope of the Soroptimst Grant. In particular, the School & Partnership Liaison will:

  1. Coordinate school-based partnerships throughout Nepal for project implementation of DfG Health Training Programs & Distribution of DfG Kits. This includes ongoing programs with partner organizations in addition to scoping new school partnerships.

  2. Identify & develop School Partnerships in junction with the Soroptimst Grant, including targeting schools in the 5 zones of project implementation.

  3. Liaise with schools throughout Nepal for project implementation and coordination with the DfG Nepal Center as well as locally-based Micro-Enterprises.

The School & Partnership Liaison will also work closely with the M&E Officer to ensure that data collection and analysis occurs throughout the project timeframe. The School & Partnership Liaison will also coordinate ongoing partnerships with Splash & other school-based programming.

Duties/Assignments:

Program Responsibilities

  • Identify schools from the five (5) regions to participate in DfG Health Trainings & Kit Distributions as part of the Soroptimst Grant
  • Coordinate with School Officials & Teachers to ensure that all scheduling & logistical details are sorted out in advance of training programs
  • Coordinate with School Officials & Government Offices to ensure that paperwork is complete in advance of training programs
  • Network with schools throughout Nepal to determine areas/schools of higher need
  • Connect schools & school participants with the DfG Nepal Center & local Micro-Enterprises for ongoing partnership
  • Organize training program logistics for school-based project delivery
  • Participate in Health Training at local schools
  • Assist M&E Officer with data collection
  • Work with Programme Officer to coordinate DfG Trainers
  • Coordinate with Splash on ongoing partnership
  • Support DfG Trainers in Health Education Delivery
  • Visit Project Sites for facilitation & data collection as needed
  • Manage Database of School Partners

M & E Responsibilities

  • Support M&E Officer with data collection at all school sites
  • Assist DfG Health Trainers with data collection as needed
  • Manage promotional documents and materials, i.e. photos, testimonials, video clips from school partners

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Help to represent Days for Girls in relevant events, media, and conferences
  • Support Days for Girls team with miscellaneous tasks related to volunteer coordination, deliveries, and partnerships
  • Assist Programme Officer with report-writing, debriefing materials
  • Assist Programme Officer & Country Director with Grant Reports
