INDIVIDUAL CONSULTANT PROCUREMENT NOTICE

Long-term Agreement with Individual Consultant/s for GESI Expert during Mid-term/Final evaluation of Project and Programme.

Reference No.: UNDP/PN/12/2024

The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Nepal currently requires the services of an individual to perform the work described here. 
In consideration of your qualifications, we are hereby inviting you to submit an offer for this particular assignment. To assist you in understanding the requirements of this assignment, we have attached hereto the following :

  • The Terms of Reference for the assignment described above;
  • The standard Letter of Confirmation of Interest and Availability, which you must accomplish and submit to UNDP; and
  • The Individual Contract and its General Terms and Conditions, which you would be expected to sign in the event you are the selected Offeror in this procurement process.

Should you be interested and decide to submit an offer for this assignment, kindly submit directly in the online supplier portal no later than the deadline indicated in the system. If any discrepancy between deadline in the system and in deadline indicated elsewhere, deadline in the system prevails.

REQUIREMENTS FOR EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least master’s degree in Gender studies, Women studies, Governance, Management, Public Administration, Social studies, anthropology, or any other areas or bachelor’s degree with two additional years of experience.
  • Experience of working with development programmes/conducting evaluations with focus on gender, social inclusion and related development issues.
  • At least 5 years of experience in their field including evaluation experience.
  • Strong knowledge of qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis methods.
  • Experience and knowledge of gender sensitive research or monitoring, evaluation and
  • analysis.
  • Excellent report writing, presentation and editing skills in English.
  • Knowledge of UN/UNDP evaluation guidelines will be an advantage.

Note:  

  • Applicants of 65 years or more require full medical examination and statement of fitness to  work to engage in the consultancy. 
  • The candidate has to be an independent consultant (If the candidate is engaged with any organization, the organization employing the candidate will be issued with a Reimbursable Loan Agreement (RLA) to release the employee for the consultancy with UNDP.)
