Roles and responsibilities of this job

The Scheme Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end management and administration of mutual fund schemes. This includes portfolio oversight, compliance management, investor communication, and coordination with regulatory bodies. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Nepal’s capital market, SEBON regulations, mutual fund operations, and fund performance management.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of mutual fund schemes in accordance with the Fund’s objectives and regulatory requirements.
Monitor investment portfolios, analyze performance, and ensure alignment with investment mandates and SEBON guidelines.
Coordinate closely with the research and investment team to recommend strategic asset allocation and rebalancing.
Ensure accurate and timely Net Asset Value (NAV) calculation, disclosure, and reporting.
Prepare and submit periodic financial statements, compliance reports, and performance updates to SEBON and the board of the mutual fund.
Liaise with trustees, auditors, custodians, depository participants, and regulatory bodies for smooth scheme administration.
Provide clear, timely, and transparent communication to investors and respond to queries related to mutual fund products.
Take an active role in fund promotion, investor education, and awareness initiatives.
Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in scheme structuring, fund management, and investor servicing.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 3 years

Other Specification

Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive experience in mutual fund operations, investment management, or related fields.
In-depth knowledge of Nepal’s mutual fund industry, regulatory landscape (particularly SEBON regulations), and financial markets.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data and market trends.
Proficiency in portfolio management tools and MS Office applications.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience with fund audits, regulatory reporting, and investor relations is a plus.
