  • Must hold a bachelor’s degree; preference will be given to Masters degree holder in communications, marketing, business management, business administration, tourism, or any other related field
  • Proven working experience in a similar post for at least 5 years for Bachelor degree holder or 3 years for Masters degree holder 
  • Proficiency in both written and oral English language
  • Proven and successful ability to lead a group of sales personnel towards growth in enhanced sales volumes and enhanced revenue generation
  • Passionate about travel and tourism with a core understanding of the hospitality sector
  • Excellent knowledge of the latest tourism trends and sales techniques

Job Description

  • Provide leadership over the sales department
  • Develop weekly/monthly/seasonal or annual sales targets for the department
  • Oversee activities of the junior and senior professionals, and monitor their performance as a whole
  • Examine growth opportunities and report the possibilities of enhanced sales to the CEO
  • Define and communicate the business’s KPIs and target to junior sales personnel on a regular basis
  • Research and analyze patterns in consumer and market behavior
  • Define data-driven action strategies in order to consistently optimize the business’s commercial performance
  • Interact directly with the customers during crucial situations when juniors fail to convince the clients
  • Enable sales improvements and take responsibility for the department’s performance against targets
  • Play a mentorship role to the junior as well as senior employees within the sales department, assisting in duties upon request
  • Honing the professional skills and readying the sales team to take the responsibility of Sales Head during his absence or on retirement
  • Create and implement sales action plans that incorporate key actions that work to set KPIs for the business
  • Handle unforeseen problems and complaints that arise regarding the trip for the customer
  • Assis the team to make alternative arrangements for customers who have had their trips interrupted by unforeseen issues
  • Measure the performance of the team for any incompetencies so that proper training can be provided
  • Deal with document complaints in an efficient and diplomatic manner when clients come out with serious issues
  • Identify areas of improvement in sales strategies and the sales team for business profits
  • Identify new trends in the marketplace and offer the business a competitive advantage
