The Position 

The Reservations team contributes to Intrepid’s success by providing quick and accurate bookings, confirmations, and suitable alternatives to all accepted quotes for clients, it will be your responsibility as a Reservations Manager to provide exceptional leadership to the team to ensure the delivery of service-level excellence through effective coaching, training & development, to ensure fast turnaround times and accurate booking and confirmations. 

You will complete bookings and provide confirmations to the Sales teams for external clients, work to improve reservations processes, and contribute to providing excellence in customer service. This is a full-time position based in our Kathmandu office in Nepal but will allow some flexibility to work remotely or from home. We believe vaccines play a critical role in the safe return of the travel. To ensure our workplaces are safe, we require proof of Covid-19 vaccination when you work from an Intrepid office, attend company events or travel on trips. 

You’ll be responsible for:  

  • Team Leadership, coaching, training and support of the Reservations team 
  • One to one conversations, meetings and development of your team members 
  • Achieving goals and key performance indicators so our customers will receive fast turnaround times and accurate bookings and confirmations. 
  • Working with external booking systems and procedures, Travel Studio and other internal systems to manage the booking and confirmation with suppliers of all accommodation, transportation  
  • Completing bookings and providing confirmations to the Sales teams for external clients.  
  • Providing accurate feedback and alternatives to ensure that customer service levels are maintained  
  • Work to improve reservations processes and, along with the other managers in the Intrepid team, will contribute to providing excellence in customer service

Some of the essentials you’ll have are: 

  • Previous supervisory experience, including leading a team through coaching, training & developing 
  • Strong destination/regional and local travel knowledge 
  • An understanding of and a passion for various styles of travel, including our different brands. 
  • Experience with a reservations system and/or ticketing and other reservations processes would be held with high regarded 
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills in the local language and English
