Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre for Disabled Children (HRDC) is the only program of the Friends of the Disabled (FoD), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing treatment and rehabilitation services to children with physical disabilities. 

FoD/HRDC, in partnership with CBM Global, is implementing a Physical Rehabilitation Project in two districts of Madesh Province. The objective is to contribute to improving the quality of life of persons with physical disabilities through accessible and appropriate rehabilitation services. Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Rehabilitation Supervisor to join our team. The Rehabilitation Supervisor will oversee the physical rehabilitation project and ensure that all patients receive the highest level of care possible. This individual will work closely with physicians, therapists, other healthcare professionals, partner organizations, local government, and individual beneficiaries to develop treatment and rehabilitation plans and monitor patient progress.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing community-based rehabilitation activities that meet the specific needs of persons with disabilities in the community.
  • Identifying and assessing the needs of persons with disabilities in the community and developing and implementing treatment and rehabilitation plans for those identified persons.
  • Monitoring patients' progress, adjusting treatment and rehabilitation plans as needed, and ensuring that all patients receive high-quality care and treatment.
  • Developing and implementing training programs for community-based rehabilitation workers, volunteers, and families to increase their capacity to support and care for persons with disabilities.
  • Providing supervision and support to community-based rehabilitation workers and volunteers and monitoring the quality of services provided to persons with disabilities.
  • Collaborating with local government agencies, non-governmental organizations, health professionals, and other stakeholders to make physical rehabilitation services accessible.
  • Collecting data and maintaining records related to the implementation and impact of community-based rehabilitation activities and preparing reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Managing resources to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of community-based rehabilitation services. 
  • Assisting the project team in monitor and ensuring the community consultations, meetings, training, outreach health and rehabilitation activities, and capacity building of the health centres are implemented as per the agreed plan
  • Assist the procurement committee in procuring the required clinical equipment and materials and make necessary arrangements for delivery to the health facilities and safeguarding the same.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in rehabilitation science, physiotherapy, or related fields with a minimum of a year of experience in the related field. Or. Certificate level in physiotherapy or related fields with a minimum of two years of experience in the related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and strategies
  • Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals
  • Experience with program development and quality improvement initiatives
  • Must be able to maintain patient confidentiality
